"Jungle" by Jamie N Commons and X Ambassadors is the greatest song of 2014 that you've never heard of. Or to put it more fairly, it's the greatest song you have heard of yet you have no idea how you heard of it. You can listen to the full song below. It's being used in everything nowadays; it's the commercial version of The Rolling Stones' "Gimmie Shelter" for Scorsese films. It's just in everything, and it's always used perfectly.

However, the best commercial I've seen "Jungle" used in was also my first exposure to the song- and that's the Season 2 trailer for Orange Is The New Black. This trailer is one of the greatest trailers I've seen in a long time. In only about a minute and a half, you're introduced to the litany of characters, yet you know exactly what the season is about. The bed of Jamie N Commons and X Ambassadors' "Jungle" with that rhythmic beat tells you everything you need to know about the show.
I think the reason "Jungle" works so well is because it's a catchy, upbeat, heart-pounding, anthem. That simple drum kick just gets your blood boiling and the lyrics make you want to follow your leader "into the jungle" and on to the battlefield. A "jungle" is a perfectly metaphor for any type of obstacle- whether its a new prisoner shaking things up or a battle on the soccer field. That's why I think "Jungle" is the perfect anthem and the perfect song for your commercial.
