WHO I THINK WILL GET AN EMMY NOMINATION:
- Breaking Bad (AMC)
- Downton Abbey (PBS)
- Game of Thrones (HBO)
- Homeland (Showtime)
- House of Cards (Netflix)
- Mad Men (AMC)
COLD HARD LOCKS: Everything, but House of Cards
WHAT I'M PROBABLY WRONG ABOUT: The Americans (FX)
Emmys love the shiny new toy, and The Americans certainly fit that description. However, I think House of Cards is the ball that the Emmys just can't catch, leaving The Americans out in the cold. I could see the Emmys justifying knocking off Boardwalk Empire, but I can't see them knocking off two shows to allow The Americans AND House of Cards to get nominations.
So truthfully, I'm extremely confident about my six nominations.

WHAT I THINK THE NOMINEES SHOULD BE:
- Breaking Bad (AMC)
- Boardwalk Empire (HBO)
- Game of Thrones (HBO)
- House of Cards (Netflix)
- Justified (FX)
- Mad Men (AMC)
OBVIOUS "SNUB": Boardwalk Empire
Justified is the better (or at least more entertaining show), but Boardwalk has been nominated for the past two seasons, and just wrapped up it's best season to date. However, House of Cards is going to get nominated and Boardwalk Empire is the "obvious" show (to the Emmys) to not get nominated. Personally, I'd love for the Emmys to knock off Homeland (which had a pretty bad sophomore slump) or Downton Abbey (which is just plain boring), but if any show gets the boot, it's the HBO drama.
What was your favorite Drama series this past year?
