WHO I THINK WILL GET AN EMMY NOMINATION:
- Alec Baldwin (30 Rock)
- Don Chedle (House of Lies)
- Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory)
- Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men)
- Louie C.K. (Louie)
- Matthew Perry (Go On)
COLD HARD LOCKS: Everyone, but Matthew Perry
WHAT I'M PROBABLY WRONG ABOUT: Matthew Perry
The other five received a nomination last year, and the Emmys are nothing if not consistent. With Larry David not eligible this year, it's a tough choice who I think the Emmys WILL give it to. I narrowed it down to three choices: Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory), Jake Johnson (New Girl), and Matthew Perry. Johnson is the most deserving, and the most critically acclaimed... so he's out. Galecki received a nomination two years, but not last year. Once you've lost your Emmy nomination, it's REALLY hard to get it back. And while both Galecki and Johnson seem like more obvious choices, based upon the success of their respected shows, Matthew Perry is an Emmy darling. He has two Emmy nominations from Friends, and two from The West Wing. Damned if Go On was cancelled, I'm calling my dark horse on Perry.

WHO I THINK THE NOMINEES SHOULD BE:
- Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation)
- Alec Baldwin (30 Rock)
- Jake Johnson (New Girl)
- Joel McHale (Community)
- Blake Anderson (Workaholics)
- Adam DeVine (Workaholics)
NOTE: For some reason, Anders Holm (Workaholics) didn't nominate himself. Only Adam and Blake are eligible, so they are the only two that I will consider.
OBVIOUS "SNUB": NBC
Jake Johnson is the critical darling right now. He earned a TCA nomination in Individual Achievement in Comedy (gender be damned) and he's getting all of the buzz (and rightfully so). I also think there's a realistic possibility he gets nominated. I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell that anyone from Community, Parks and Rec, or even 1600 Penn (a surprisingly a good and goofy show) gets a nomination.
Who is your favorite comedic male lead from this past year?
- Adam DeVine (Workaholics)
