WHO I THINK WILL GET A NOMINATION:

GOT A NOD LAST YEAR, SHOULD GET ONE THIS YEAR: Anna Gunn
There's been a huge backlash against the backlash of Skylar White, played by Anna Gunn. Anyone who has ever watched the first four seasons of Breaking Bad hates Skylar. It's just a gut, emotional reaction based upon our love of Walter White. Rationally, we shouldn't hate Skylar, because she's the angel on Walter's shoulder- trying to humanize this monster. But from a fan's perspective, she's just trying to stop our protagonist from doing what we wants to do, and that's to cook Crystal Meth. And fuck her for that. So I get the backlash to our Skylar hate.
But that being said, I really felt for Skylar in Season 5.1. Creator Vince Gilligan has always said he wants a show that turns Mr. Chips into Scarface, and Walter White is now truly Scarface. He's truly a horrible, despicable human being who I want to see get shot in the head by Skylar. She is truly becoming a character that hardcore fans like myself can empathize with. And if this scene doesn't at least give Gunn a NOMINATION, then Emmy voters are broken.
WHAT I'M PROBABLY WRONG ABOUT: Kelly Macdonald
Macdonald earned a nomination for the inaugural season of Boardwalk Empire, but lost her nomination last year. And with the Emmys, once you lose your nomination, it's almost impossible to get it back. However, I don't think Boardwalk Empire will earn a nomination for Outstanding Drama Series this year (spoiler alert for my last Emmy column!), so I think Emmy voters will make up for it by nominating its actors instead. Suck it other Countess and housemaids of Downton!

OBVIOUS "SNUB": Emilia Clarke
While the Emmy voters obvious watch Game of Thrones, its hard for anyone not named Peter Dinklage to get any Emmy love. Yet, its obvious one of the best story lines, and best actors in GoT is the Khalessi herself. Not only did we get a return of a Khalessi topless scene, but we also got the return of Emilia Clarks acting well and not complaining about her damn dragons.
