GOT A NOD LAST YEAR, WILL PROBABLY GET ONE THIS YEAR: Max Greenfield
WHAT I'M PROBABLY WRONG ABOUT: Will Arnett
Last year, the 6th nomination slot went to Bill Hader for SNL, and I've been debating back and forth to whether Hader gets nominated again. On one hand, Hader is an amazing comic actor, who just finished his final season on SNL, and the last Sefon sketch was not only beautiful and funny, but it blew up the internet. On the other hand... um.... damn. It's going to be Hader again isn't it.
We shall see how much love Arrested Development gets from the Emmys voters. While the show was super, super hyped, the execution was just "eh". If the show does get nominated here, it'll be either for Arnett or Jeffrey Tambor- both of which earned Emmy nominations from this show before. I think between the two, Arnett will earn the nomination because a) he was the last person to earn a nomination from the show and b) Arnett is FAR more relevant in the minds of the Emmy voters over Tambor.
WHO I THINK THE NOMINEES SHOULD BE:
- Chris Pratt (Parks and Recreation)
- Danny Pudi (Community)
- Donald Glover (Community)
- Max Greenfield (New Girl)
- Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation)
- Nolan Gould (Modern Family)
OBVIOUS "SNUB": Nolan Gould
If you're going to shower Modern Family will all of this Emmy love, then they should at least nominate the best acting out of any male on the show. I don't care that Gould is the youngest, age shouldn't matter. Eric Stonestreet already has three nominations, and two wins. Let's be fine without nominating him, and giving Luke his place instead.
